Due to the amount of Fake, and Cloned N95 models in the market place, and seeing some members here buying them under the impression they are the real thing, I decided to carry out this Warning thread, which is a Hands-On Review, and side by side comparison, with detailed photos, showing the differences, and what to look out for. This particular Clone, featured in this Hands-On Review, is the NOKLA. There are several other clones in the market place which are almost Identical to the Genuine Handsets. Even the 8GB N95 has a clone, which also includes the Chinese model, which does not feature WiFi, or GPS. I purchased this particular NOKLA handset, solely to make N95Users, or anyone reading these forums, with the interest in looking, or investing a Nokia N95 handset aware of what some sellers advertise as Genuine. I have taken many photos of this NOKLA handset, and all of which can be viewed in a PhotoBucket account i have set up especially for Fakes, and Clone awareness. More, and more photos will be added to this Album for all members to see, and I have set a Guest password also, which is detailed at the bottom of this post. Ok, so what does this NOKLA look like.? Many of us are already aware of this particular clone, and it the easiest to spot, but not everyone is aware of some of the differences, which many of us appear obvious. This is what you would of received, if you purchased a Nokla. Then when you open the box, you will be presented with this very poorly constructed clone, which is in my opinion, very very poor, and cheap quailty. I feel sorry for those people that have purchased these, thinking they were the real N95 Nokia.Heres the handset. Whats in the box? Well, not a lot. no instructions with this particular one. Box Contents.. 1. Handset 2. Headphones, without any ear foams. 3. A Far eastern Mains/USB charger, with Travel Adapter(UK) 4. USB Charging cable, which doubles up as a Data Cable(not in the photo) 5. 2 x Batteries. (Only one in photo, the onther is in the handset) Close up of one of the NOKLA Batteries. Heres the handset out the box. Many of you will recall seeing the Bluetooth screen cover before, mainly on eBay.Now with the screen cover off, the most obvious difference, is the menu icons on the lower part of the LCD screen This clone, has a touch screen, and uses a Stylus, which we will come to later. The back of the handset.Again, to most of us, the differences here are quite obvious, but to the many people who dont know, the differences are as follows... 1. Battery cover has no Nokia, or NSeries wording. Also, the normal push down chrome button, is actually also fake on this model, and near to it, are some ridges on the plastic to help you slide open the cover. 2. The camera lense, features no protection 3. The wording around the camera lense 3. The 3 branded holes iconThe top of the handset.. This is actually not the power button, but a torch/flash which is used in conjuction with the camera. this will be shown in a video Im compiling, and will be added to the PhotoBucket Album below. The base of the handset. No Mini USB, or Charging port. This phone charges with the supplied USB DATA Lead, and has its own Mini USB On the side of the handset.. See image further down.Keypad. Deeper than the original, and many keys have different icons.Battery compartment.. The first thing you will notice, it features 2 x SIM CARD slots.Left hand side of the NOKLA This side has the T-Flash (MicroSD slot) which is covered by a rubber plug. The central rubber plug hides the Charging and data point. Side by side photos. Genuine N95-1 n the left.Fronts.Rear.Nokia bottom in below photos.. Now, when you switch this handset on, and if your Sim is inserted, but has a PIN Number, you are presented with this screen. Notice the stylus to the right of the handset. This is tucked away in the base of the handset, see phot below. Its at the bottom of the photo, the head of it is grey in colour. Once you have entered the SIM Password, you are greeted by this screen.. Below are a couple of screen shots of the Music, Audio Player.. Close up of the camera lense. The flash is also Fake.. I will also be compiling some videos, which will be added to the above Album within the next couple of days. I hope this quick Hands-On review has highlighted the many differences of this NOKLA that differ to the Genuine N95-1 As mentioned above, more photos, and videos will be added regarding the other clones in the market place, including the N95 8GB. Of course, I cannot buy one of each of these models, and do a hands on review of each, and that I only completed a purchase of this one, due to getting it quite cheap. If anyone has a clone they wish to be used in a review, to try and help others from buying them, please PM me, and I maybe able to come up with some kind of deal with you. Thanks for reading. Micky
